Today’s “Word of the Day” is whip up and it is a phrasal verb meaning “excite, evoke/provoke, stimulate, encourage (strong emotions in someone intentionally); it also means to prepare something (specifically food) very quickly”.

Example Sentence:

Last month, Iran said it launched a military satellite into the orbit. This fits well into a time-tested strategy of taking a more aggressive foreign policy and whipping up nationalist sentiments whenever the domestic crisis worsens.
