Today’s “Word of the Day” is “tedium“ and it is a noun meaning “the quality/state/fact of being boring for a long time; lack of interest, monotony, dullness, boredom, routineness, sameness, tediousness, listlessness, doldrums, ennui”.
Example Sentence: Forced to follow an unchanging routine, life sometimes does become dreary and intolerably dull. At such times, having something to look forward to can dispel (eliminate) boredom, tedium or gloom and reignite the spark of enthusiasm in one’s life.
