Today’s “Word of the Day” is shovel-ready and it is an adjective meaning “relating to the construction project where planning is ready and approved that construction can begin at any time, if sufficient funds are provided”.
Example Sentence: Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised £1 billion for school repairs and a further £4 billion for “shovel-ready” projects from road maintenance to public transport in what he said was a new “infrastructure revolution” that will also build new homes.
