Today’s “Word of the Day” is “scupper“ and it is a verb meaning “ruin, destroy, devastate, wreak havoc on, damage, spoil, mess up, shatter“.
Example Sentence: The west must make it clear to Moscow that upping the ante further will carry a substantial economic cost (loss) in the form of further sanctions (penalty/ban) and scupper the Nord Stream 2 project.
