Today’s “Word of the Day” is intransigence and it is a noun meaning “unreasonable refusal or unwillingness to change/compromise on something (view, attitude, behaviour, position); inflexibility, obstinacy, rigidity, single-mindedness, stubbornness”.

Slashing fuel and air duties as chancellor just days before the last Cop summit – hosted by the UK – showed his true colours.
