Today’s “Word of the Day” is “infodemic“ and it is a noun meaning “an excessive quantity or overabundance of information-some accurate and some not-occurring during an epidemic”.
Example Sentence: As the World Health Organization director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, warned in March, we are not only fighting a pandemic, but also an “infodemic”, a deluge of information – both factual and incorrect.
