Today’s “Word of the Day” is Global South and it is a noun meaning “the poor developing countries (of Asia, Africa, South America, amongst others); the economically developed countries (of Europe, North America, Australia, amongst others)”.
Example Sentence: This is not about the global north dictating to the global south; after all, openness and accessibility are not exclusive to any one part of the world. Indeed, doing any less is a disservice to the global south; ultimately, we all face the same climate catastrophe.
