Today’s “Word of the Day” is gaslight and it is a verb meaning “to undermine another person’s reality/sanity by denying facts or their feelings; to make a person think they are going insane/crazy (Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse or manipulative tactic/strategy in which a person or entity, in order to gain more power, makes a victim question their reality)”.

Example Sentence: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is trying to gaslight communities into accepting that mass unemployment, rising underemployment and poverty alleviation is not the responsibility of the state.
