What I now consider to be one of my worst experiences in life happened at a tuition class. It led me to question the very efficacy of the school education and teaching system. It was my first day in the tuition class and the teacher was dealing with the physical world and the vector system. For further reading, visit “The Hindu”.

Today’s Words:

  1. Efficacy (noun) – – effectiveness, efficiency, productiveness, power/ability to give estimated results.
  2. The leap of (noun) – a sudden transition.
  3. Comprehend (verb) – understand, grasp, take in, apprehend.
  4. Pour out (phrasal verb) – utter, say, speak, communicate.
  5. Veer (verb) – change direction/course.
  6. Very (adjective) – mere, simple, pure, plain, basic.
  7. Enact (verb) – act out, act, perform, play.
  8. Bloom (verb) – blossom, bud, sprout; flourish, prosper, burgeon, progress.
  9. Ought (verb) – indicate correctness.
  10. Guiding light (noun) –  inspiration, role model, hero,
  11. Stand me in good stead (idiom) – useful/advantage/benefit to someone.
