- parochial (noun) – narrow-minded, small-minded, inward-looking, short-sighted, myopic, introverted, illiberal, hidebound, intolerant.

- protectionism (noun) – it is an economic policy where a country imposes restrictions like tariffs, quotas, and subsidies to shield its domestic industries from foreign competition.

- Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020 (noun) – On January 15, 2022, the Haryana government notified the ‘Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020’.
