- deflationary (adjective) – characterized by or tending to cause economic deflation (decline/setback).
- room for manoeuvre (phrase) – an opportunity to change something (tactfully/carefully).
- unpredictability (noun) – volatility, changeability, unsteadiness.
- owing to (phrase) – because of, as a result of, on account of.
- plague (verb) – afflict, torment, trouble.
