- inflation (noun) – simply meaning “cost of living”; increase of price level of goods & services and vice versa decrease of currency value.
- conundrum (noun) – problem, difficulty, quandary.
- persuade (verb) – convince, influence, coax/prompt.
- consumer price index (CPI) (noun) – a monthly measurement of prices for most household goods and services.
- blindside (verb) – make (someone) not able to see the truth.
- upside (noun) – an upward movement of something.
- calibrated (adjective) – carefully assessed, carefully regulated, carefully adjusted.
- robustness (noun) – strength/stability, vitality, good condition.
- in light of (phrase) – in view of, considering, taking into account.
