  1. campaign (noun) – canvassing, electioneering, an act of soliciting (asking for/requesting) votes; an organized effort that seeks to influence the decision-making progress within a specific group.
  2. identity (noun) – a social category, a set of persons marked by a label and distinguished by rules deciding membership and (alleged) characteristic features or attributes; individuality, character, originality.
  3. identity politics (plural noun) – it is also called as identitarian politics, refers to political positions based on the interests and perspectives of social groups with which people identify. Identity politics is when people of a particular race, ethnicity, gender, or religion form alliances and organize politically to defend their group’s interests.

  39. National Register of Citizens (NRC) (noun) – It is a register that includes demographic information about all those individuals who qualify as citizens of India as per the Citizenship Act, 1955.

  41. talk up (phrasal verb) –  to speak with interest about something; promote, publicize. 
  42. charge (noun) – accusation, allegation.
  43. term (noun) –  tenure, period of/in office; period, time, stint, spell.
  44. (Legislative) Assembly (noun) – Assembly/Vidhan Sabha; a legislative body in the states and union territories of India.
  45. ploy (noun) – (cunning) plan, scheme, tactic/trick.
  46. welfare (noun) – a government program that provides (financial) assistance to individuals and families in need; social security, public assistance.
  47. go all out (phrase) – use all your energy, effort, strength, and/or resources to do something (successfully)
  48. implementation (noun) – execution, application, carrying out.
  49. fag end (noun) – last part of something, particularly when considered as less significant or interesting.
  50. outdo (phrasal verb) – beat, defeat, conquer,  outstrip, outdistance, do better than, go beyond, rise above. 
  51. in terms of (phrase) – with regard to, regarding, concerning, in respect of, with reference to.
  52. sops (noun) – a conciliatory gift, concession; something given/provided (which is ,often, of less importance) to pacify somebody.
