- bid (verb) – attempt, try, effort, endeavour.
- pitch (noun) – a way of talking when attempting to convince someone to buy or accept something.
- draw in (phrasal verb) – to involve someone in something; to get someone involved in something; to make someone to take part in something.
- semiconductor (noun) – a substance that has specific electrical properties that enable it to serve as a foundation for computers and other electronic devices. Semiconductors are materials (silicon or germanium) which have a conductivity between conductors (generally metals like copper) and nonconductors or insulators (such as most ceramics/plastics).

- supply-chain (noun) – a network between a company and its suppliers to produce and distribute a specific product to the final buyer.

- co-located (adjective) – relating to the act of placing multiple (sometimes related) entities within a single location.

- de-risk (verb) – to take measures/steps to reduce risks/financial loses.
- collaborative (adjective) – collective, common, mutual.
- friendshoring (noun) – also called ally-shoring; Friend-shoring, as the name indicates, would involve supply chains only in countries that shared core values and principles ranging from protection of privacy in the digital world to human rights. Market access could thus be securely granted to countries that could be trusted as “friends/allies”, reducing risks to the US economy and to those of the “friends/allies”, who would now be the chosen trading partners.

PLI scheme offers incentives on incremental sales for products manufactured in India.
