  1. Bakhmut (proper noun) – a city in eastern Ukraine.

  5. the Battle of Saratoga (noun) – The Battle of Saratoga (Sep 19 and Oct 7, 1777)  was a turning point in the Revolutionary War. The American defeat of the superior British army lifted patriot morale, furthered the hope for independence, and helped to secure the foreign support needed to win the war.

  37. bring home (phrase) – to make someone to understand how important or serious something is; emphasize to, stress to, fix deeply in someone’s mind.

  43. on the horizon (phrase) – imminent, impending, approaching, coming, on the way, forthcoming, about to happen, in the wings, on the cards, in the pipeline/offing, just around the corner.
