  1. a foregone conclusion (phrase) –  predictable result, predictable outcome, inevitability.
  2. referendum (noun) – public vote; a direct vote in which people cast ballots to decide on a specific issue or policy.
  3. constitution (noun) – body of law; system of rules; regulations, fundamental principles, charter.

  5. emphatic (adjective) – firm, definite, determined, energetic, assertive, insistent, outright, categorical, unequivocal, unambiguous.

  26. align with (phrasal verb) – agree with; come together.
  27. activist (noun) – a person who supports a political change or cause; (or societal change/cause).
  28. advocate (noun) – champion, supporter, promoter, proponent.
  29. Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) (noun) – With 57 participating States in North America, Europe and Asia, the OSCE – the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe – is the world’s largest regional security organization. The OSCE works for stability, peace and democracy for more than a billion people, through political dialogue about shared values and through practical work that aims to make a lasting difference.

  31. representative government/representative democracy (noun) – a government where citizens elect people to represent them and make laws on their behalf, instead of always voting directly on laws and other government actions.
