1. correction (noun) – a decline or downward movement of a stock market.
2. volatility (noun) – the state of being legally responsible to change in a very sudden or extreme way.
3. temper (verb) – moderate, tone down, reduce/lighten.

17. bond yield (noun) – bond yield  is the annualized percentage return that an investor will obtain from buying a bond. In general, the yield of a bond is inversely proportional to its price. This means that as the yield increases, the price decreases (and vice versa).
18. prospect (noun) – chance, possibility, expectation.
19. proclaim (verb) – indicate, signify, state.
20. taper tantrum (noun) – it is the term used to refer US Federal bank’s trimming of the amount of money it was feeding into the economy and which resulted sudden increase in its treasury.
21. subdue (verb) – overcome, quieten, bring under control.
22. dampen (verb) – decrease, reduce, lower.
