Today’s “Phrase of the Day” is hue and cry and its meaning is “commotion, outcry, clamour, uproar, storm, furore, ruckus, stir, ado”.
Example Sentence: More importantly, despite the financial crunch and the Opposition raising a hue and cry that the government is funding the scheme by pushing the State (Andhra) into a debt crisis, the Chief Minister has never discontinued his schemes.
