Today’s “Phrase of the Day” is bite the bullet and it is a phrase meaning “to go through a painful or otherwise unpleasant situation that has been delayed and seen as unavoidable beyond certain stage”. It simply means to accept a difficult decision or situation.

Example Sentence: On India’s recent loss in New Zealand, Shastri was candid. “There was so much that we went through. You could see towards the end — injuries, mental fatigue, but they hung in despite missing some key players. It was hard but the guys bit the bullet and soldiered on”.
