Today’s “Phrase of the Day” is bear the brunt and its meaning is “to suffer or endure the worst part of something (force/burden/pressure) when a very bad or unpleasant thing happens.

Example Sentence: The alleged rape has brought the issue of sexual violence against lower-caste women, particularly in Uttar Pradesh, to the fore. India is the most dangerous country in the world to be a woman and it is women from the lower castes who bear the brunt of the sexual violence.
