Which is correct — ‘nook and cranny’ or ‘nook and corner’? (Narayanan, Bengaluru)

In India, quite a few people tend to say ‘nook and corner’; native speakers of English, however, say ‘every nook and cranny’. Standard dictionaries label ‘nook and corner’ as Indianism.
