Today’s “Word of the Day” is acclimatise (to) and it is a verb meaning “adjust, adapt, attune, accommodate, get accustomed, get used (to new conditions)”.

Example Sentence:  In a brilliant essay at the beginning of this year, the author Mark O’Connell described this process as “the slow atrophying (declining) of our moral imaginations”. We are acclimatising ourselves to our existential crisis.
