  1. momentum (noun) – the increase in the rate of growth of something; strength, impetus.
  2. soften (verb) – decrease, reduce, lessen, moderate.
  3. S&P Global Inc. (noun) – an American publicly traded corporation headquartered in Manhattan, New York City. Its primary areas of business are financial information and analytics;  S&P Global, Inc. engages in the provision of transparent and independent ratings, benchmarks, analytics and data to the capital and commodity markets worldwide.   43. informal/unorganized sector (noun) – informal economy, grey economy; it is the part of an economy that is neither taxed nor monitored by any form of government.
  44. formal sector/organized sector (noun) – formal economy; it is the part of an economy that is taxed, or monitored by any form of government.
  45. rely on (phrasal verb) – depend on; resort to, have recourse to.
  46. largely (adverb) – mostly, mainly, generally.
  47. Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) (noun) – a leading business information company. It was established in 1976, primarily as an independent think tank. (Think tank is a panel of experts who provide advice and ideas on political, social or economic issues).
  48. spike (verb) – rise/increase sharply.
  49. keep watch on (phrase) – eye, see, observe, view, keep watch on, keep an eye on.
  50. given (preposition) – considering, taking into account, bearing in mind.
  51. resurgence (noun) –  recovery, revival, rebound, resurrection, renaissance, re-emergence.
  52. anchor (verb) – secure, fasten, attach, connect firmly.
