Word of the Day (peddle)-12AUG21

Today’s “Word of the Day” is peddle and it is a verb meaning “to suggest, recommend, promote, present, put forward, advocate, champion (an idea/view) persistently to make people to accept/believe it”.

Example Sentence: So, if you hear a politician talking about “getting back to normal”, remember that while this is comforting they are peddling a dangerous idea we are hardwired (innately determined) to accept. And if we keep accepting it as a plausible (believable) goal in the area of climate crisis, we will end up further away than ever from where we really need to be.
