Today’s “Word of the Day” is propaganda and it is a noun meaning “the (deliberate & systemic) spreading of information (facts, ideas, rumours or lies) to influence public opinion”.
Example Sentence: That vilification (criticism/attack/abuse), pumped out by the state propaganda machinery, has shaped many Russian opinions, or at least successfully seeded confusion about the whole business. But there have been large rallies across the country demanding Navalny’s release.
