Today’s “Word of the Day” is mend and it is a verb meaning “improve, strengthen, correct, set right, fix, patch up, renew, rebuild something (such as a relationship with someone after having a disagreement with him/her)”.
Example Sentence: But mending of ties remained elusive going by the manner in which the (Telangana) State government filed a petition in the apex court seeking its intervention in directing the institution of the Governor to expeditiously (quickly) give her assent to the pending Bills, so that they could be implemented in letter and spirit.
