Today’s “Word of the Day” is co-morbidity and it is a noun meaning “In medicine, co-morbidity is the presence of one or more additional conditions (diseases) co-occurring/co-existing with a primary condition (disease)”.
Example Sentence: On April 30, the West Bengal government announced that since the outbreak of the pandemic, 105 persons who had tested positive for COVID-19 in West Bengal had died. Of these, 33 deaths had died of COVID-19 and 72 had died of co-morbidities.
