- ties (noun) – association, relationship, bond, connection.
- bind (verb) – unite, join.
- add (to) (verb) – increase, intensify, heighten.
- bipartisan (adjective) – involving cooperation between two (opposite & big) political parties.
- fillip (noun) – stimulus, boost, encouragement, incentive, impetus.
- multilateral (adjective) – involving many different countries.
- Quad/Quadrilateral (noun) – The ‘Quadrilateral’ is described as four democracies (the United States, Japan, Australia and India) with a shared objective to ensure and support a “free, open and prosperous” Indo-Pacific region.
- bilateral (adjective) – involving two groups or countries.
- pull out (phrasal verb) – leave, quit, give up, retreat, abandon.

- task force (noun) – a temporary organization/grouping created to solve a particular problem.
